Allow users to choose where to place there shortcuts during the installation wizard - all choices (desktop, start menu and quick launch bar) are checked by default. They should be unchecked.

Nothing wrong with this: either choice (all checked, all not checked, or, for that matter, any subset checked and/or left unchecked) will satisfy only a small group. Truth is, when you install _anything_, you should pay attention to every install dialog, and only accept defaults when you understand what you're getting beforehand. With the current system, you may have to delete an icon or remove the pin on the quicklaunch bar.... with none checked, you get nothing: no way to start the program other than finding the directory! So, no, they shouldn't be all unchecked.
